Sarah Nelson

Sarah likes to bake and started a little business of her own making sweet treats. Her charity is “Sarah Bug Sweet Treats”.

Sarah says:  "I donate 50% of the proceed to our local Hospice -  A.R.C.H. That way I am helping someone else but also earning some money for my college fund. I want to be a baker when I grow up. My family is helping me make this possible."

Sarah's mission is to help others that need it more than she does.  She wants to make the families comfortable while they spend time with their loved ones during the last days of the journey of life!  So far she has sent over $5,000 to the organization.

Sarah, as a nine year old Grade 4 student at St. Pius X, was recognized for her fundraising initiative to help out the Algoma Regional Community Hospice (ARCH). She was the youngest recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal at a recent presentation ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion.
