This week's Hero of the Week segment takes us to Ireland. As a young man growing up on The Emerald Isle, Harry felt frustrated that adults in government, business, and education weren't taking his peers seriously. Because when Harry looked around at his fellow young people, he saw confidence. He saw capability. And, most importantly, he saw the results and successes they achieved on their own steam.

This inspired Harry to found the Digital Youth Council, which was only his first step in expanding educational access and leadership opportunities to his peers.

Comprising of some of the top young people in STEM in Ireland, the Youth Council aims to give a voice to young people involved in STEM in Ireland and provide them with a platform to influence the National Digital Strategy, and the future of STEM in education and everyday life. A key ambition is to gather the views and opinions of young people across the country, in order to influence and feed back directly to those working within the Irish Government, EU Commission, business and the tech community which we are partnering with, and also to promote STEM to young people.
