Adele Ann Taylor

Adele Ann Taylor

At the age of 13, Adele Ann Taylor became the Founder/CEO of Adele’s Literacy Library. Her passion for reading became the foundation and drive for her wanting to create her non-profit organization.

Adele’s goals are to donate millions of brand new books and bookmarks to schools, libraries and charitable organizations, and to “make a difference” in the lives of others through a book. She also wants to eventually offer scholarships to graduating seniors who want to pursue their educational dreams.  Adele enjoys speaking to people of all ages about the importance of reading and instill that regardless of where you come from, you can go anywhere in the world by reading a book.

Through the organization, Adele launched the Read All You Can program, which has been implemented in every elementary school in her community.  The program challenges students from 1st-4th grade to read as many age appropriate books as they can in a one month period.  This fun, friendly, and innovative competition involves not only the dedicated participating students and teachers but their parents as well. Students eagerly read because of the bragging rights and prizes they receive afterwards!

With help from partner organizations, Adele's Literacy Library built a solar powered learning center in Kenya equipped with 4,000 books and 20 computers.

ALL for Books is the uniquely designed Amazon Web Store exclusively created for Adele's Literacy Library™ (or ALL for short). Launched in the Spring of 2009 as a joint project between Founder/CEO, Adele Ann Taylor, and a group of business school students from The Paul Merage School of Business at U.C. Irvine, California. ALL for Books seeks to empower people that reading is not only fundamental, but it is the key ingredient to success and through reading ALL things.
