Kimberly Moore of the Kimberly Moore Foundation returns to read more Adopt-A-Letter submissions, which are now available for donations on the Peace Fund Radio site here.

We also get a visit from literacy activist Carole Barrowman, a Professor of English and Director of Creative Studies in Writing at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a published expert on (and enthusiast of) crime fiction, and co-author of the Young Adult novels HOLLOW EARTH and BONE QUILL with her brother, actor John Barrowman (DOCTOR WHO, TORCHWOOD, ZERO DARK THIRTY). Carole delivers outstanding tips about how to engage our children with books via the boosts in imagination and excitement that come with them.

And, in our final segment, we honor someone who wasn't necessarily a kid but was definitely a kid at heart. FAST & FURIOUS actor Paul Walker, who passed away in an automobile accident last week, was an active philanthropist who founded Reach Out Worldwide to organize and mobilize whatever experts were needed to travel around the globe to participate in emergency relief, rescue, and recovery efforts. He fought homelessness near his home in Santa Barbara, California, worked with numerous children's causes, and provided hands-on assistance and action at natural disaster sites around the world. We lost a true warrior for Protecting, Educating, and Aiding Children Everywhere, and it was our bittersweet honor to honor him today as our Hero of the Week.
