Jack Mogus

In 2012, 12-year-old Jack Mogus from Ontario, Canada founded "Change By YOUth," which emphatically puts the "YOU" in "Youth." His goal is to inspire and ignite change locally and globally through volunteerism, leadership, and peace.

Change By YOUth isn't Jack's first attempt at helping others. Since an early age, Jack has been an active volunteer in his community; whether it's cooking breakfast for those less fortunate, organizing food drives in support of a local food bank, volunteering at the YMCA, planting hundreds of trees for Conservation Halton's Trees for Watershed program, coordinating and participating in several shoreline cleanups with 'The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup', and conducting environmental workshops as a trained facilitator for EcoMentors.

Since 2012 Jack has participated in CYAN's monthly Intergenerational Program at a local senior’s home where he volunteers his time teaching crafts and other themed activities and he serves on multiple committees in his community.

So congratulations to Jack for being our Peace Fund Hero of the Week! Welcome to Peace Fund Radio.
