Writer/director/actor David Zuckerman and actress Chelsea Taylor Leech have already navigated the post-apocalyptic wastelands in their science fiction series AFTERWORLD. Today, on the heels of this week's earthquake off the coast of California, they join Adrian Paul and Ethan Dettenmaier to talk about how to involve our children in preparedness for natural disasters.

The conversation reminds us of recent PFR Hero Raegan Junge(from our October 16, 2013 show), who has raised money and assistance for victims of natural disasters around the United States since 2011... when she was only 6 years old.

And for our new Hero of the Week, we name 16-year-old Matthew Kaplan of Phoenix, Arizona, who founded The Be O.N.E. Projectto "harness the power of peer pressure to create a positive and inclusive school environment" with interactive day programs that "challenge students to focus on their similarities and to celebrate their differences."
